Jon Baker

Jon started working for Vetcel as a summer job during his University years. He helped the company bring in much-needed IT developments to cope with the growing membership and to streamline the tasks undertaken to provide the members with what Vetcel had to offer. He joined the company fully in the summer of 1999 and has been a main cog in helping the company achieve its aims ever since.

Initially, he joined the company as IT Manager, and over the years, his role expanded to include greater responsibilities. Following Chris Bainton’s retirement, his title was changed to Operations Manager to reflect the greater role he holds. His desire to do the best for the members has remained the same throughout his career, and he is always looking at ways to provide members with the support and help they need, whatever form that can take.

Jon is married to Helen, our Accounts Manager. Together, they have three boys aged 21 to 12 and two cats. Jon is a keen supporter of Manchester United and, when he gets the chance, loves to play football with his boys and in 5-a-side matches. He also loves going to the cinema or watching movies/TV with his family, enjoying meals out, and shopping, especially for tech gadgets.
